Never wanting to miss an opportunity for some Wendy time, we headed down to Greenwich today to see if we could catch a glimpse of the film being shot! We saw a brief rendition of “Do You Hear The People Sing?” which sounded fantastic, and got some great pictures between scenes – although photos were not allowed during filming.
We thought we would share some of the best with you lovely lot!

Due to the strict No Filming Policy (obviously…) during takes, we didn’t film any of the action, but Wendy did film a little between takes when we were allowed to!
Enjoy!

lovely photos! can anyone just go take a look then??
yup it’s a fairly open set. They do move you out of the way when they need to film though
oh wow, thank you for replying! i may have to try take a peek in the next couple of days then. do you know how long they’ll be filming there? i love your photos!
no worries. I heard they were filming until the weekend. Not sure if that means Saturday or Sunday x
Exactly the same set up and location as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 2010, just with fewer people milling around. Even some of the same costumes! The Royal Naval College in Greenwich is fast becoming the go-to location for period dramas filmed in the UK. Seems to be the only unspoilt location and is now finding new life in many a blockbuster film. Wonder if the architects back then had any idea…
Hey there Wendy! My sister Wendy and I visited Greenwich yesterday (12th) and had a great insight into what goes on behind the scenes. Just wanted to say that your pictures are fab, they gave me a closer look! Thanks very much Dawn
anyone know if likely to still be filming on Monday as will be in London for the day!
just in case anyone sees this in time – we went to Greenwich yesterday and they were sorting out the set for last day’s filming tomorrow, Wednesday! It was interesting to look around but would be even better to see things in action (they were trying to do something with a crane and a flagpole type thing on top of the elephant and kept climbing up inside him!)
